JOSEPH AUSTIN, foreman, Auburndale. Has been at Auburndale since December, 1877. He is foreman and manager for the Menasha Woodenware Company, at their stave mill, at Auburndale. He was born in Montreal, Canada, Oct. 3, 1848. Came, in 1870, to Chicago, remained there about eighteen months, then went to Menominee, Mich.; then in the Spring of 1874, went to Menasha, Wis., and worked at lumbering there until 1877, when, after spending a few months at Wausau, he came to Auburndale, as manager for the company. He was married, April 1, 1877, to Miss Mary Crowley, of Waukesha. They have two children, Annie and Willie.
