Hamann, Barbara B. (12 Sept. 1939 - 28 Jan. 2009)

Barbara B. Hamann, 69, Marshfield, died Wed., Jan. 28, 2009, at Marshfield Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sat. Jan. 31, 2009, at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI), with the Rev. Joseph Redfern officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Burr, Steve Burr, Herb Hager, Steven Hamann, Rob Osterberg and Kenny Lindekugel.

The visitation will be held Fri. from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Sat. from 10 a.m. until service time at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI). A combined St. John's Parish, St. John's Parish Council of Catholic Women, and Knights of Columbus Rosary Service will be held Fri. at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Barbara Bernice Hamann was born Sept. 12, 1939, in Marshfield to Albert and Marion (Pankratz) Burr Sr. She attended St. John's Parochial School and graduated from Columbus High School. She married Elwin "Al" Hamann on June 10, 1961, at St. John's Catholic Church. He died June 27, 2002.

Barbara had been employed at the Consumer Store, Johnson Hills and Karau's Supermarket, all in Marshfield. She enjoyed playing cards and making her famous spinach raviolis. She was a lifelong resident of Marshfield.

Survivors include her mother, Marion Burr of Marshfield; two children, Kevin (Sheila) Hamann of Oconto, and Kathy (Rob) Osterberg of Forest Lake, Minn.; three grandchildren, including twins Steven and Amanda Hamann, and Chase Osterberg; two sisters, Anita (Herb) Hager of Wisconsin Rapids and Sue (Brent) Caldwell of Boulder City, Nev.; four brothers, Bill (Maureen) Burr of Manassas, Va., Doug (Deb) Burr of Marshfield, Steve (Linda) Burr of Greenfield, and Randy (Cheryl) Burr of Sarasota, Fla.

She was predeceased by her father, her husband, and two brothers.
