Schalow, Elmer Friedrich (20 Jan. 1916 - 13 Nov. 2008)

Elmer Friedrich Schalow, 92, of Marshfield, died Thur., Nov. 13, 2008, at Golden Living Center at Three Oaks in Marshfield.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tues., Nov. 18, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Tues. at the funeral home.

Elmer was born Jan. 20, 1916, in the town of McMillan, to John and Bertha (Weber) Schalow. He enlisted in the U.S. Army as an anti-aircraft gun operator in World War II. After the war, he went to work for Allis Chalmers in West Allis. Elmer married Theresa Schaal on June 25, 1955, in Milwaukee.

He is survived by one son, Dennis Schalow, Marshfield; one brother, Reinhard Schalow; and two sisters, Esther Panzer and Laura Barr.
