Hanson, Vicki M. (13 July 1959 - 15 July 2007)

Vicki M. Hanson, 48, of 9026 Richfield Drive, Marshfield, died on Sun. July 15, 2007 at St. Joseph’s' Hospital.

Vicki was born on July 13, 1959 in Ashland to Fred and Lona (Isberg) Klaus. She was a 1977 graduate of Ashland High School and in 1979 graduated from Mid State Technical College in the respiratory therapist program.

She was married to Brian Johnson and later divorced. On March 24, 2001 she was married to Jerry Hanson, the man of her dreams. Vicki was very active in 4-H as she was growing up in Ashland. She and Jerry loved snowmobiling in the winter and camping with friends and riding her beautiful motor cycle. For the past four years, Vicki was secretary for the Bakerville Sno-Rovers. She was a charter member of the Marshfield Area Genealogy Group and did research for many clients. She was on the Board of Directors from 1985-1988, president from 1989-1992 of the Genealogy Group. Vicki loved spending time with her friends and co-workers, doing things with her children and special grandchildren.

She touched many life's in her short time she was with us.

Vicki Received her Associated Degree in Applied Science, Respiratory Therapy in August 1979 from Mid-State Technical College. She began working at St. Joseph's Hospital in October 1979. Vicki became a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in 1981. She was an active member of both national and state organizations, AARC and WSRC. Vicki received the Outstanding Alumni Award from Mid-State Technical College. She also served on the Mid-State Respiratory Care Advisory Board.

Vicki was very involved in many aspect of the Respiratory Care Department. Her passion for excellent care involved her training of new staff, being part of the neonatal transport team, proving leadership during her shifts at work, writing departmental procedures and working on departmental committees. Vicki began working on the neonatal transport team in 1981 and has transported or 600 infants in her career. Vicki loved going on "baby runs"

Currently, Vicki and Jerry had started and operated their paper shredding business Shred Safe in the Marshfield area.

Vicki is survived by her husband Jerry; her children, Anthony Johnson of Marshfield, Kasey (Jim) Scholl of Watertown, S.D. and Tyler Johnson of Appleton; two grandchildren Caden and Sydney Scholl. She is further survived by her brother Gary (Sherry) Klaus of Wasilla, AK and parents Fred and Lona Klaus of Ashland.

Vicki was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Visitations will be on Wed. from 4 - 8 p.m. at Rembs / Kundinger Funeral Home and again on Thur. at the church from 11 a.m. until time of the services.

Funeral services will be 12 noon on Thur., July 19, 2007 at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Trisha Turner, officiating. Maldon Plank will be the organist and William A. Allen as vocalist along with congregational singing.

Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery with friends, Todd Oppman, Rick Griep, Wayne O'Brien, Mark Beck, Terry Hanson and Bruce Ashbaugh serving as the pallbearers.
