Baumgart, Alvina Esther Clara (3 Nov. 1916 - 30 May 2009)

Alvina Esther Clara (Gottschalk) Baumgart, 92, of Marshfield, died Sat. May 30, 2009, at Golden LivingCenter-Three Oaks, Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held at noon Fri., June 5, 2009, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield. The Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service Fri. at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield. Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery, Colby.

Alvina was born to William and Adel (Johnson) Gottschalk on Nov. 3, 1916, in Colby. She attended school in Colby. Alvina was joined in marriage to Orvil Baumgart on June 22, 1938, in Colby. They moved from Colby to Marshfield in 1958. Orvil passed away Feb. 24, 1997.

Alvina enjoyed fishing, crocheting and gardening. She also enjoyed shopping, cooking and watching baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs.

Alvina is survived by her daughters Arlene (Donald) Czerwinski, Wausau, and Audrey (Gary) Nienow, Edgar. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lori (Bob) Johnson, Deb Mai, Jon Czerwinski, Ron Nienow, Rick Nienow, Jackie (Jim) Asplund, Kim Nienow and "adopted granddaughter" Dana Allar. Alvina is further survived by great-grandchildren, Hunter (Jaime) Qualls, Jenny Qualls, Megan Czerwinski and Gavin Czerwinski. She is also survived by sisters, Myrtle Gottschalk and Lucille (Kenneth) Kobs; and brothers, Elroy (Betty) Gottschalk and Lavern (Sue) Gottschalk.

Alvina was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brothers Albert, Arnold, Harvey, Carl and Rueben Gottschalk.
