Odegard, Lonnie J. (14 July 1941 - 29 Dec. 2004)

Lonnie J. Odegard, 63, of 301 S. State St., died Wed., Dec. 29, 2004.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lonnie was born July 14, 1941, in Wahpeton, N. D., to John and Mabel (Olson) Odegard. He attended North Dakota State College in Fargo. Following his education, he served in the U.S. Army from Nov. 7, 1961, until his honorable discharge on Oct. 28, 1963. When he returned, he married Bette E. Laske on March 11, 1964, in South Dakota and later divorced. He became store manager for Montgomery Ward stores in North Dakota and Wisconsin. Then in 1971, he moved to Marshfield and was a partner in starting the Marshfield Buyers Guide. He operated this business until 1984. He then married Roselyn J. Ampe on Sept. 15, 1990, in Marshfield.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Roselyn; two children, Lori (Mark) Russell of West Linn, Ore., and John Odegard of Marshfield; two grandchildren, Max and Josh Russell; three stepchildren Gregory Weber of Newport, Va., Julie (Bill) Zebro of Tomah and Kathy (Larry) Cihler of Wausau; and four step grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother, Jack Wilson, Valley City, N.D.; and his sister, Janet White, Lewiston, Idaho. He will be sadly missed by his dog "Waldo."

He was preceded in death by his parents.
