Brey, Ida (1893? - 2 Mar. 1965)

MILLADORE - Services were held Fri. afternoon at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dancy for Mrs. Edward Brey, who died March 2. The Rev. Edward Bartell officiated, and burial will be made in the Knowlton cemetery later.

Pallbearers were Henry Janz, Carl Luebbe, Roy Binder, Bob Wotrubs, Robert Brey and Wallace Brey.

Edward Havitz and Mrs. Virgil Seavers, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Norman Alberts, sang, “The Lord is My Shepherd,” and “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere.”

Attending the services were relatives and friends from Milwaukee, Glen View, Ill., Wausau, Wisconsin Rapids, Tomahawk, Greenwood, Hibbing, Minn., Marshfield, Stevens Point, Northbrook, Ill, Menomonee Falls, West Bend, Dancy, Junction City, Milladore, Mosinee and Knowlton.

Area Resident Dies at Age 72

Milladore--Mrs. Edward Brey, 72, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 3 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday as St. John's Lutheran Church at Dancy. The Rev. Edward Bartell will officiate, and burial will be made in the Knowlton cemetery.


The body will repose at Martens Funeral Home in Junction City from 7 o'clock tonight until time of services.


The former Ida Janz was born Feb. 21, 1893, at Dancy, and had lived there until 1920 when she came to Milladore. Her marriage to Edward Brey took place Oct. 19, 1920, at Wausau.


Mrs. Brey was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Dancy, the Royal Neighbors of Milladore, and the Auxiliary of the Furio-Heinen Legion Post of Junction City.


In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George Robidesau, Hibbing, Minn.; three sisters, Mrs. Carl Luebba, Ringle, Wis.; Mrs. Erma Kupsch, Wausau; and Mrs. Joe Obst, Skokie, Ill.; three brothers, Paul Janz, Dancy; Arthur Janz, Wausau; and Arnold Janz, Evanston, Ill.; and three granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
