Koplin, Connie D. (Scheuneman) (March 17, 1955 - August 24, 2011)

Connie D. Koplin, 56, Withee, died on Wednesday, Aug. 24 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, where she had been a patient for one day. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.


Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.


The former Connie Scheuneman was born on March 17, 1955 in Stanley to Donald F. and Mary Jean (Boyles) Scheuneman. She attended Medford area schools and was a graduate of Medford High School.


On April 28, 1975 at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in the Town of Holway, she married Robert Lee Koplin, who survives. She worked at Marathon Cheese and Weather Shield Millwork Division, and also operated the Hacienda Tavern from 1980 to 1982, then was a stay at home mom.


She enjoyed flowers, animals, especially her pets, and having a good time.


In addition to her husband, survivors include her father, Donald Scheuneman of Owen; three children, Jason (Amanda) of Wausau, Erin (Jesse) Clausnitzer of the Town of Holway and Brandon (significant other Sara Ogle) of Stetsonville; a sister, Sandi Kuske of Medford; a brother, Jim (Lisa) of Owen; three sisters-in-law, Diane (Orville) Howard of Big Rock, IL, Ellen Jahrling of Withee and Barbara (Mark) Walter of Yorkville, IL; and two grandchildren, Aubree Clausnitzer of the Town of Holway and Gavin Koplin of Wausau.


She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jean.


In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to her family to be designated at a later date.
