Millikin, Bernice R. (Fischer) (February 6, 1931 - March 9, 2011)

Bernice R. Millikin, of Hartford, was called to eternal rest on March 9, 2011 at the age of 80 years.

She was born on February 6, 1931 in Medford, Wis., the daughter of George and Barbara (nee Frishmen) Fischer.

Bernice married Earl Millikin on November 18, 1950. They lived in the Town of Erin where she worked with her husband building homes and running a Charlois cattle business. The last years of her life were spent in her glorious flower garden.


Bernice is preceded in death by her husband, Earl, on September 18, 1996; her grandson, Matt, in 2002; her siblings, Barbara (Alvin) Stoiber, Eugene (Jeanette) Fischer, and Kenny Fischer; and brother-in-law, Henry Harder.


She is survived by her children, Jeff (Mary) Millikin, Sue (Dennis) Biondich and Brad (Paula) Millikin; her grandchildren, Shannon, Trevor, Cody, Madeline, Sam, Adam (Renee), Amy (Justin), Stuart (Sarah), Forrest (Joelle), Travis, and Rachel (Steve); her great-grandchildren, Ireland, Josiah, Isaiah, Brett, and Leilani; her siblings, LaVerne Harder, Marcella (Leon) Hamel, Jerry (MaryAnn) Fischer, Glen (Joan) Fischer and Donald (Ann) Fischer.


Funeral services were held at St. Olaf's Lutheran Church in Rubicon. Reverend Matt Lee officiated. Interment was at St. Olaf’s Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to Milwaukee Catholic Home Special Care Unit, 2462 N. Prospect, Milwaukee, Wis. 53211, or St. Olaf’s Lutheran Church Building Fund, W653 Roosevelt Rd, Rubicon, 53078.
