McNamar, Joyce A. (16 Nov. 1921 - 19 Jan. 2009)

Joyce A. McNamar, 87, of Medford died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at Allison House Assisted Living, Schofield.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford. The Rev. Gerard Willger and Deacon Joe Stefancin will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford.

Joyce was born Nov. 16, 1921, in Medford to the late Delmer and Hilda (Studinger) Wicker. She married Lester McNamar on March 10, 1942, at Dubuque, Iowa.

She worked many years at the Star News in Medford and later held the position of Taylor County Clerk of Courts.

She is survived by daughter Bonnie (John) Kraft of Wausau; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother Patrick (Betty) Wicker of Clintonville.
