Kellner, Alvina R. (30 June 1914 - 28 Jan. 2009)

MEDFORD -- Alvina R. Kellner, 94, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Memorial Nursing and Rehab Center, Medford, where she had resided for the past six years.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Hemer Funeral Home with a 6:45 p.m. Catholic prayer service.

Alvina was born June 30, 1914, at Milwaukee, the daughter of John and Julia M. (Gilbert) Fruzen. She was married Oct. 10, 1931, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, to Andrew H. Kellner Sr. He preceded her in death Nov. 29, 1996.

The couple farmed for a number of years. She also worked at the Rib Lake Cheese Co. and later did domestic cleaning in the Medford area. She worked at Weather Shield Manufacturing for a period of years until her retirement.

She is survived by two daughters, DeLoria (Thomas) Barron of Jordon, Minn., and Clarice (Edward "Lee") Schield of Medford; three sons, Andrew D. (Diane) Kellner of Medford, Duane (Helen) Kellner of Dothon, Ala., and Donald (Shirley) Kellner of Schofield; 14 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
