Baughman, Yvonne D. (Worden) (January 24, 1916 - February 5, 2009)

Yvonne D. Baughman, 93, Ladysmith, died Thursday, Feb. 5 at the Ladysmith Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 9 at Sheldon Church of Christ, with Rev. Jeremy Allard officiating. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sheldon.

Nash Jackan Funeral Home of Ladysmith assisted the family with arrangements.

Baughman, Yvonne D. (Worden) (January 16, 1916 - February 5, 2009)

Yvonne D. Baughman, 95, a life-long Sheldon resident, died February 5, 2009, at the Ladysmith Nursing Home.

Yvonne was born Jan. 24, 1916, in Oak, Neb. to Glenn S. and Irene B. (Farver) Worden. She came to Rusk County in the fall of 1919.

Yvonne married Lester E. Baughman of Mudbrook, Wis., on Sept. 18, 1936. She was a Sunday school teacher, farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of Linden Sunday School, Sheldon Church of Christ and Jump River Community Church.

She is survived by her sons Von L. (Lena) Baughman of Sheldon and Melvin W. (Dolly) of Sheldon; her daughters Phyllis (Ken) Lund of Sheldon, and Reva Hindel (Dale) of Morgantown, W. Va.; and her son-in-law Philip Verdegan. She had 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Dale Hindel, her grandson Doug Baughman, a daughter Wynn Verdegan, her brothers Donald Worden and Ralph Worden and a baby sister who lived only a very short time.

A funeral was held Monday, Feb. 9 at the Sheldon Church of Christ with Rev. Jeremy Allard officiating. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sheldon.
