Seidel, Adrine Sue (Smallwood) Hacker (January 31, 1934 - May 15, 2010)

Adrine Sue Seidel, 76, Rib Lake, died Saturday, May 15 at Golden LivingCenter in Rib Lake.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 20 at 11 a.m. at Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home in Rib Lake. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake. Pallbearers will be Daniel C. Hacker, Robert B. Hacker, James R. Hacker, Gary D. Hacker, Robert B. Hacker Jr., Scott Gorski and Tom Monroe.


The former Adrine Smallwood was born January 31, 1934 in Pikeville, KY, to the late James and Marge (Elkins) Smallwood. She grew up and attended school in Kentucky.


In 1950 in Dorton, KY, she married Granville C. Hacker, who preceded her in death on June 20, 1976. They moved to California where they lived for four years before returning to Kentucky. They then moved to the Chicago, IL, area, living in Zion, Ill., for 15 years where she worked as a cook at a nursing home for six years. In 1974, they moved to Rib Lake, where she has lived since.

On August 5, 1978 at Taylor County Courthouse in Medford, she married Gerald C. Seidel, who preceded her in death on January 16, 2007.


She was a former member of Zondlo's Friday Evening Horseshoe Team and Little Bohemia Friday Evening Couples Bowling League. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, collecting frogs, arts and crafts, and woodworking.


Survivors include four sons, Daniel C. Hacker and James R. (Linda) Hacker, both of Rib Lake, Robert B. (Sandy) Hacker of Racine, and Gary D. (Carrie) Hacker of Weston; three brothers, Kermit of Carlton, Mich., Noland (May) of Dorton, and Chester of Clayton, S.C.; a sister, Donna Smithy of Lyons, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Eddie Fore of Ohio; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.


In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers; two sisters; and her mother- and father-in-law, Carl and Sophie Seidel.


Memorials in her honor may be given to the family.
