Strobach, Jini Maye (Thums) (May 16, 1964 - May 23, 2010)

Jini Maye Strobach, 46, Westboro, died Sunday, May 23 at her home. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, May 29 at 12 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake, with Father Otto Bucher officiating.

A time of gathering will take place on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass.

The former Jini Thums was born May 16, 1964 in Medford to Earl and Violet "Vi" (Franck) Thums.

She attended grade school in Westboro and Rib Lake, and was a 1982 graduate of Rib Lake High School.

On April 23, 1983 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Westboro, she married Bryan Lee Strobach, who survives. She was employed at B&B Engineering in Medford as a machine operator for 13 years.

She was a past 4-H leader for Chequamegon 4-H and Taylor County 4-H, and past participant of the North Central Wisconsin Horseman Association. She enjoyed training horses and trail riding, antique cars, hot rods, muscle cars and her pickup truck, camping, attending car shows and horse shows, riding her Goldwing motorcycle, and her dogs.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Travis of Westboro; a daughter, Ashley (Niel) Anderson of Ogema; her parents, Earl and Vi Thums of Westboro; father-in-law, Lee Strobach of Ogema; four brothers, Mike and Steve (Wendy), both of Westboro, Joel of Sheridan, and Rock (Donna) of Medford; three sisters, Deborah Waskowiak of Purcell, Okla., Merri (Larry) Faber of Medford and Jodi (Kevin) Weiss of Westboro; two grandchildren, Donavan Acker and Ian Anderson; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents; and mother-in-law, Bev Strobach.

The family invites guests to wear western attire or dress casually in her honor.

Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
