Drisgill, Esther (23 Dec. 1901 – 1 July 1987)

WESTBORO – Former Westboro resident, Esther Drisgill, 85, Denver, died Wednesday morning at St. Luke’s Hospital, Denver.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday with graveside rites at Mount Oliver Cemetery, Westboro.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday at the Dallman Funeral Home, Rib Lake.

The former Esther Simek was born Dec. 23, 1900 in Czechoslovakia and came to the U.S. at age 17, and settled in Westboro.

She worked in Chicago, then was married to Robert Drisgill Sr. Sept. 9, 1933, in Chicago. They farmed in Westboro. In 1966, she moved to Colorado.

Surviving are a son, Robert, of Denver; two brothers, Oley Simek of Pocahantas, Ark., and Jerry Simek of Winter; and a sister, Mrs. Henry (Lelia) Grorshia of Fort Atkinson.

She was predeceased by her husband, three sisters, and two brothers.
