Jensen, Frederick “Junior” P. (June 13, 1920 - April 9, 2009)

Frederick "Junior" P. Jensen, 88, Medford, died Thursday, April 9 at Memorial Nursing Home in Medford, where he had resided the past two years.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 13 at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in the Town of Holway, with Pastor Kris Bjerke-Ulliman officiating. Burial was at Our Saviours Lutheran Church Cemetery in the Town of Holway.

Honorary pallbearers were Jake Jochimsen, Paul Malovrh, Floyd Neibacher, Alvin Liske and Jay and "Meps" Ruesch. Active pallbearers were Lyle Schwarz, Mike Selby, Andrew Reischl and Jed, Nicholas and A.J. Jensen.

Frederick Jensen was born June 13, 1920 in Madison to the late Frederick P. and Lena (Olson) Jensen Sr. He attended Chicago, Ill., area elementary schools and was a 1938 graduate of Medford High School.

On September 9, 1942 in the Town of Holway, he married Mary Rickaby, who survives.

For many years he worked for the Stetsonville Farmers Union Co-op in the service station and driving the delivery truck, at Medford Co-op Hardware Store, and then at Weather Shield for 16 years until his retirement in 1988.

He was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Timberline Hare Beagle Club in Prentice. He enjoyed his beagles and rabbit hunting, camping, fishing, hunting and the outdoors.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Kristin (Fred) Reischl of Racine; three sons, Barry (Janet) of Madison, Loren "Lonnie" of White Lake, Mich. and Martin "Marty" (Nicolette) of Batavia, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin; and a daughter-in-law, Cathie Jensen in 2008.
