Waide, “Millie” Mildred Lois (Rogers) (March 5, 1925 - May 26, 2009)

Former Medford resident Mildred "Milly" Lois Waide, 84, Rib Lake, died Tuesday, May 26 at the Golden LivingCenter in Rib Lake.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home in Rib Lake with Pastor Dave Elleman officiating. Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m.

The former Mildred Rogers was born March 5, 1925 to William M. and Irene (Denny) Rogers in Wisconsin Rapids. She attended various grade schools in Stevens Point and was a 1943 graduate of PJ Jacobs High School in Stevens Point. Milly then lived in Chicago, Ill. working in civil service and then as a waitress.

She was united in marriage to Robert DeRosier in 1946, they later divorced.

She moved to California, living there for 6 years and was married to Timothy Wayne Waide on January 21, 1965 in Huntington Beach, Calif. Milly moved to Medford in 1966, where she resided for 38 years and was employed at Hurd Millwork for 21 years as an assembler. She enjoyed gardening and reading.

Survivors include a son, Howard (special friend Denise Wolf) Waide of Medford; two daughters, Lorna (Frank) Harrison of Spokane, Wash. and Linda (Dale) Fjelstad of Torrence, Calif.; two sisters, Marjorie (Clarence) Schlais of Westboro and Shirley Waskowiak of Westboro; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by

her brother-in-law, Clarence Waskowiak and husband, Timothy Waide in 1965.
