Kellner, Andrew "Andy" D. Jr., (November 30, 1935 - July 9, 2010)


Andrew "Andy" D. Kellner Jr., 74, Medford, died Friday, July 9 at his home, surrounded by his family and under hospice care.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 13 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating. Burial was at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Medford with full military honors performed by the Medford Area Military Honors Team. Pallbearers were his grandchildren, David, Chelsea, Angela, Michael, Rachael and Joe Kellner, Kailey, Stephanie, Logan and Jarret Lamberson, and Troy and Luke Erspamer.


Andrew Kellner was born November 30, 1935 in Chelsea to the late Andrew H. and Alvina (Fruzen) Kellner Sr.

He attended Frey Grade School, graduated from Medford High School in 1954 and received his real estate broker license from Spencerian College in Milwaukee. He served in the United States Army from July 7, 1954 to May 31, 1956, was honorably discharged and received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.


On June 28, 1958 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, he married Diane M. Pernsteiner, who survives. He worked at American Motors in Milwaukee and then Medford Motors from 1957 to 1971. He then worked in sales at Weather Shield in Medford and at Drott Manufacturing in Wausau as an equipment assembler from 1971 to 1973. From 1973 to 1985 he owned and operated a dairy farm in the Town of Browning.


He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. During retirement he enjoyed owning and operating his own heavy equipment and did work on his land, digging his own pond.


In addition to his wife, survivors include three children, Dean (Sandy) Kellner of Marshfield, Alyse (Jeff) Lamberson of Lakeville, Minn., and Melanie (Sam) Erspamer of Hurley; two sisters, DeLoria (Tom) Barron of Jordon, Minn., and Clarice (Edward "Lee") Schield of Medford; two brothers, Duane (Helen) of Dothon, Ala., and Donald (Shirley) of Schofield; and 12 grandchildren, David, Chelsea, Angela, Michael, Rachael and Joe Kellner, Kailey, Stephanie, Logan and Jarret Lamberson, and Troy and Luke Erspamer.


In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made in his name to Hope Hospice or Holy Rosary.
