Meyer, Keith M. “Skeeter” (5 August 1936 - 9 February 2013) With Flag

Keith “Skeeter” M. Meyer, 76, of Drywood, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at his home.

Keith was born on August 5, 1936, the son of Milton and Marian (Hoover) Meyer in the Town of Anson. He grew up in the Town of Arthur. Following school, he served in the U. S. Army in Germany. Keith was employed by the Cadott Color Center for 41 years. He also was a blacksmith in the town of Arthur.

Keith loved being with family and friends, his dogs, the Green Bay Packers, hunting, fishing and the outdoors, cutting wood and woodworking.

Keith was united in marriage to Marlene Olson and they had five beautiful children which he is survived by: Tammy (Daniel) Boos of Cadott, Tina (Russ) Isenberger of Thorp, Teresa (Patrick Boyd) Zoromski of Thorp, Thomas Meyer of Cadott and Tabatha (Nels Peterson) Poehls of Cadott; brothers: Del (Mary Ann) Meyer of Cadott and Terry (Milli) Meyer of Glidden; also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Jean Davis and Dawn Muska; grandson, B. J.; and special dog, Mini.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, February 15, 2013, at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, WI, with Rev. George Olinske officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Cadott American Legion and VFW following the funeral services. Private family inurnment will be in the Pine View Cemetery, Town of Arthur. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2013, and also one hour before services Friday morning at the Leiser Funeral Home at Cadott, WI.
