Boyer, James M. (15 July 1941 - 15 April 1968)

James M. Boyer, 26, of Neillsville, died Monday in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. William Dushek of the Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be made in the Town of Seif Cemetery.

Mr. Boyer was born July 15, 1941, in Neillsville. He was the son of George and Mildred (Flick) Boyer. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School and attended the vocational school in Eau Claire for two years. Before returning to Neillsville, he was employed by an insurance company in Minneapolis, Minn. On his return he was employed by the Wedges’ Creek Research farm.

He is survived by his parents; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Adelise) Senecal of Manitowoc, Mrs. Theodore (Neva) Howard of Unity and Mrs. Robert (Jean) Bedell of Coon Rapids, Minn.; five brothers, Arvid of Rt. 1 Neillsville, Wallace of Rt. 1 Chili, Marvin of Rt. 3 Neillsville, Earl of Redville, Mass., and Romaine of Rt. 3, Neillsville.

Funeral services were held Thursday from the Georgas Funeral Home for James M. Boyer, 26, of rural Neillsville, who died here April 15. The Rev. William Dushek of the Methodist Church officiated. Burial was made in the Town of Seif Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Leland LaMarr, Greenie Jackson, Eugene Frederickson, Robert Ladd, David A. Pozega, and Gerald Marden.

“Nearer My God to Thee” and “Abide with me” were sung by Robert Mitte, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.
