Barts, Audrey M. (19 OCT 1963)

Miss Audrey May Barts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Barts Jr., and Raymond Strobach, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Strobach, Rice Lake, were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 19, 1963 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby. The 10 a.m. nuptial services were performed by Rev. John B. Pinion. Sister M. Louise Ann provided the organ music.

The bride was presented before the altar by her father. She was attired in a floor length gown of Chantilly lace and peau de soie with a fitted bodice and a jeweled Sabina neckline. Her full hoop skirt with a bustle back ended in a chapel sweep. The French illusion fingertip veil was secured to a queen's crown of pearl aurora borealis crystals. The bride carried an orchid on a prayer book.

Miss Kathy Knoll, Rib Lake, was maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Dorine Witt, Janet Svoboda, Judy Yost and Helen Martin. The attendants were seen in red street length formals with fitted velveteen bodices, bateau necklines and capped sleeves. The full gathered skirts of nylon organza over taffeta were finished with deep hems. To complete their costumes, each girl wore a matching nylon tulle bow clip with a halo veil, and they carried arrangements of red and white gardenias.

Jill Schilling, Abbotsford, was the flower girl, and Billy Sunderling, the ring bearer.

Dale Strobach, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were David Barts, brother of the bride, Kenneth Marschke, Joe Schmidtfranz and Ten Strobach, brother of the groom.

William Kane and Harlan Witt performed ushering duties.

Dinner and supper were served at St. Mary's gymnasium and the reception for 350 guests was held at the Sportsmen's Park. The wedding dance followed.

The bride received her education at Colby High School and graduated in 1962. Her husband attended school at Rib Lake and is now employed at Hurd Millwork Corp. Following their wedding trip the newlyweds will reside in Medford.

Guests who attended the wedding were from California, Milwaukee, Appleton, Fond du Lac, Wausau, Wautoma, Chicago, Rib Lake, Medford, Ogema, Stetsonville, Milan, Unity, Abbotsford and Colby.
