Kuether, Glenn R. (3 April 1953 - 16 January 2013) With Flag

Glenn R. Kuether, age 59, of Plymouth, formerly of Sheboygan, passed away on January 16, 2013, at his home with his loving wife by his side, following a hard fought battle with liver cancer.

Glenn was born on April 3, 1953, to Robert and Marilyn (Gerlach) Kuether in Sheboygan, WI. On October 6, 2007, he married the love of his life, Beverly Buss. Glenn graduated in 1971 from Sheboygan South High School. He earned his journeyman’s license while working for his dad’s construction business. Glenn served six years in the United States Air Force, stationed in Germany working on jet engines. After returning home, he worked 32 years for the Sheboygan Post Office, retiring in 2009. He owned and operated Glenn’s Mudjacking for the past 22 years. Glenn also did auto body repair and painting, most recently restoring a 1979 Fiat Spider 5 speed convertible that he bought for Bev. He was a master scuba diver and played the blues harmonica. Glenn was an accomplished outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He did taxidermy and had a room full of trophy mounts, most of which he did himself. Glenn was an avid do-it-yourselfer and took pride in keeping his ponds, property, and home looking nice and in good repair. He also very much enjoyed riding his Harley with Beverly.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Becca Kuether and their children, Devon, Derrick and Isabel; son Ryan Kuether and his son, Drake, daughter and son-in-law, Krista and Rob Jones and their son, Mannix; step-daughter and son-in-law, Linsay and Justin Watkins and their children, Micah, Joshua and Luke; step-son, Kyle Buss; father, Robert Kuether; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Bobbie Kuether; sister, Kim Kuether; special second “Dad”, Wilbert “Jiggs” Janke (who taught him his lifelong passion of hunting and fishing); brothers and sisters-in-law: Ed Buss, Marge and Jerry Cerven, Gary and Martha Buss, Jerry and Marge Buss, Joan and Woody Carver, Dennis Buss, friend Kim Lagergren, Betty and Bruce Schroeder and David Buss, as well as other family members and many friends.

Glenn was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn; little sister, Kelly; his grandparents; his parents-in-law, Elmer and Othelia “Tilly” Buss; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Pat Buss, Carol Buss, and Evelyn Wolf.

Memorial services for Glenn were held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Suchon Funeral home in Plymouth. Rev. James Hoppert, pastor of Salem United Church of Christ, officiated. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends called at the Suchon Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. on Saturday until time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Glenn’s name. The VFW World Cheese Center Post #5612 conducted military rites at the funeral home following services.
