Wiese, Mary J. (9 SEP 1921 - 22 JAN 2013)

Mary J. Wiese, age 91, of Abbotsford, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Golden Living Center, Abbotsford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 26, 2013 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Father Daniel Hackel will officiate. A visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church in Abbotsford. Burial will follow the service at the Abbotsford Public Cemetery.

Mary Kittl was born September 9, 1921 in Manitowoc County to Margaret (Becker) and Michael Kittl. She lived in Manitowoc as a young child, and then moved to Goodrich in Taylor County. She attended schools in Goodrich and Athens High School. Mary and Francis Wiese were joined in marriage on July 27, 1940 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford. She worked as a housekeeper in Medford then her and Francis farmed outside of Medford. After farming they moved to Abbotsford where Mary was a seamstress and was a worked for the dry cleaner.

Mary was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, fishing, crafts, and flowers. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and a resident of Continental Manor for ten years.

Mary is survived by three daughters and two sons: Juanita (Dave) Krug of Owen, Loretta (Carlton) Pecher of Abbotsford, Audrey (Ted) Calmes of Rhinelander, Michael (Shirley) Wiese of Colby, and Dean (Brenda) Wiese of Abbotsford. She is further survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, three sisters-in-law: Alice Kittl, Esther Wunsch, and Ethel Schommer; and two very special friends, Ron and Lois Maldonis.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Francis, her son, Norman, four brothers, and three sisters.

The Maurina Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the Wiese family with arrangements.
