Goettsch, Henry Fred (21 July 1892 - 3 January 1968)

Henry Fred Goettsch, 76, of Greenwood, died Jan. 3, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Madison, where he was admitted December 15, 1967. Funeral services were held Monday from the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. David Logue, pastor of Zion Immanuel United Church, officiated. Military rites were in charge of the Wallis-Hinker Legion Post. Burial took place in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Goettsch was born July 21, 1892 in Hooper, Nebr. He received his education in the Hooper schools.

He was married Nov. 26, 1932, to Esther Cronin at South Bend, Ind. They came to Greenwood area from Detroit, Mich. In 1933, and farmed northwest of Greenwood until their retirement in 1957, when they moved into Greenwood.

He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of the American Legion Post of Greenwood.

Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Ana Weidensal of Yutan, Nebr., and Mrs. Charles (Emma) Johnson of Goodman, Mo.; and three brothers, William of Lebanon, Mo., Rudolph of San Jose, Calif., and Charles of Arlington, Nebr.
