Fredrickson, Anita Marie (Marriage - 2 December 1967)

In a double ring ceremony performed Saturday noon in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thorp by the Rev. Fr. Brockman, Miss Anita Marie Fredrickson became the bride of Clarence J. Turenne. Bouquets of royal blue carnations and white gladioli graced each side of the altar. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Otto Fredrickson of Stanley and Mrs. Mildred Turenne of Thorp.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, entered the church wearing a floor-length gown of peau taffeta, enhanced with appliqués of re-embroidered Alencon lace. The A-line skirt was highlighted by a removable Watteau that swept into a chapel train. Her bouffant veil of sheer illusion was secured to a double crown of white roses and white carnations.

Mrs. Kenneth Goodman of Milwaukee, sister of the bride, was matron-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Judie Wald of Stanley; Miss Toni Lobacz, niece of the groom, of Waukegan, Ill. They wore royal blue velvet floor-length gowns that were enhanced by a satin back panel. Their empire waists featured three-quarter-length sleeves with ruffles of Venetian Lace. Each wore a pillbox of bunny fur, to which short veils were attached. Each carried a cascade bouquet of white roses and royal blue carnations on white bunny fur muffs.

Bestman was Kenneth Goodman of Milwaukee. Groomsmen were Walter Lobacz and Ronald Fredrickson. Ushers were Gary Klewicki of Cudahy and Kenneth Lukasiewicz of Janesville.

Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church hall.
