Gomez, Infant Baby Phillip Lorne Dale (21 December 2012 - 21 December 2012)

Infant Baby Phillip Gomez was born to eternal life to be with his great-great-grandmother Rose Bryan Dec. 21, 2012.

Phillip Lorne Dale Gomez was born in Neillsville, Dec. 21, 2012, one pound, three ounces and 11 inches. He was baptized in Neillsville then air-lifted to Marshfield. Baby Phillip was strong and lived for six hours, holding on to allow his parents time to get to Marshfield to be with him.

He is survived by his parents, Phillip Winchell Jr. and Chastiti Gomez of Neillsville; grandparents Phillip Winchell Sr. and Heather Dusick of Eau Claire, Faith Moen of Chili and Toby Gomez of Nakadoshish, TX; great-grandparents Erlene and Dennis Bergman Sr. , August and Dawn Schmidt of Neillsville; great-great-grandfather Don Bryan; and several aunts and uncles and extended relatives.

Phillip was preceded in death by his great-great-grandmothers Rose Bryan and Swim and Elizabeth Carlson.

A special thank you goes out to the Memorial Medical Center, especially Dr. Amy Schneider and Tom Silbernagel., the Spirit Crew, Dr. Hoehn, the neonatal staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Bill Campbell and Aunt Felicia, Aunt April and Great Grandma Dawn for being there when they were needed.

A memorial service for Baby Phillip will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Douglas Bjerke will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013.
