RUEL SCOTT


Ruel W. Scott, 75, Greenwood, Clark County, formerly of Neillsville, died Wednesday, July 31, 1996, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, 1996, at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. Rev. Jerry Lamb officiated. Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were relatives and friends.


Ruel W. Scott was born on June 24, 1921, in Willisberg, Kentucky, to Ruel and Lola (nee Reilly) Scott. He received his education in Willisberg. He married Gladys Mae Ward in 1940. They moved to Dekalb, Ill., in 1941. He worked at the Dekalb toy Factory and had various jobs until being employed at the Forge Company in Dekalb until his retirement. He later moved to the Neillsville area during his retirement.


Survivors include one son, Donald Ruel (Mary) Scott, Dekalb, Ill. two brothers, Orville Wayne Scott, Dekalb, Ill. and Lynden Scott, Belvidere, Ill. two grandchildren three great-grandchildren and a special friend, Lucille Hoback, Greenwood.


He was preceded in death by his parent and one son, David Lee Scott.


Gesche Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
