Schlagenhaft, Robert H. (10 MAR 1926 - 2 APR 2002)


LOYAL - Robert Herman Schlagenhaft, age 76, of King, formerly of Loyal, died April 2, 2002, at the Wisconsin Veteran's Home in King.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Loyal. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Cuddie Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

He was born March 10, 1926, in Wisconsin to George and Theresa (Malick) Schlagenhaft. He married Kay Newman in 1964 and they were later divorced. He was an independent truck driver until his retirement in 1994.

He is survived by his children, Mitch (Mary) Schlagenhaft of Wisconsin Rapids, Teri Bruna of Carbondale, Colo., Michele (Jonathan) Ben Ezra of Longmont, Colo., and Paula (Ken) Makela of Mosinee and seven grandchildren.

Robert (Bob) was my mothers younger brother. I have fond memories of Bob as a child during summers I spent at my grandmothers house in Loyal WI. Bob named two of his daughters after my sister Theresa and I.
