Petkovsek, Edward J. (23 OCT 1943 - 12 DEC 1984)
Edward J. Petkovsek, 41, of 213 N. Purdy Ave., Marshfield, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 1984 at 3:40 p.m. in the emergency room of St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield after being accidentally electrocuted.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 1984 at St. John's Catholic Church. The Rev. Donald F. Wilger officiated. Burial was in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Mrs. Frank J. Wesley was the organist and Carol Wesley, soloist. Pallbearers were Richard Korth, DuWayne Strebe, Norbert Konrardy, Patrick Christy, Donald Blum, Herman Pichler, Charles Beranek and Terry frank.

Edward Joseph Petkovsek, son of Anton and Dorothy (nee Anderson) Petkovsek Sr., was born Oct. 23, 1943 in the Town of Mead, Clark County. He received his education in Greenwood area schools and graduated form Greenwood High School in 1961. He then served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and after being discharged, was employed for a year in Gurnee, Ill. In 1967 he began employment as a lineman with Marshfield utility, where he was working at the time of his death.

On June 17, 1967, he married Alice Kay Scheuerman at Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard.

Surviving are his wife three children, Scott, Gregory and Jill, all at home his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Petkovsek, Greenwood five brothers, Arthur of Greenwood, Anton Jr. in Anaheim, Calif. James and William, both of Greenwood, and Robert of Neillsville and three sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Mary Ann) Wayer, Mrs. Marvin (Patricia) Whitney and Mrs. William (Delores) Lee, all of Waukegan, Ill.

He is predeceased by his father in May of 1978.
