Loos, Marie (16 FEB 1919 - 12 JUL 1984)


Marie Loos, 65, of Route 1, Loyal, Clark County, died at 1:45 a.m., Thursday, July 12, 1984, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 1984, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Officiating was Rev. James Logan. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Randy Braun, Mark Braun, Tim Braun, Todd Braun, Mike Loos and Donald Becker.

A Parish Council of Catholic Women Rosary was said at 3:15 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 8 p.m., Friday. Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, handled arrangements.

Marie Braun was born to Benedict and Amelia (nee Keller) Braun on Feb. 16, 1919, in Greenwood. She attended Greenwood schools.

On Nov. 20, 1943, she was married to John Loos. They farmed in the Colby and Marshfield areas before moving to the Loyal area, where they farmed for 24 years.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal.

Survivin her are five sons, James of Colorado, William of Loyal, Charles of Loyal, Daniel of Sheboygan and Kenneth of Spencer two daughters, Mrs. Rosemary Kidwell of Marshfield and Sandra of Loyal six brothers, Vincent Braun of Spencer, Ronald Braun of Spencer, Arthur Braun of California, Jay Braun of Chicago, Robert Braun of Florida and Jerome (Tom) Braun of Portage three sister, Mrs. Ken (Bernice) White of Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Reginald (Rosella) Braun of Manitowoc and Mrs. Robert (Corrine) Ross of Temple City, Calif. and 11 grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, on Feb. 27, 1982 her parents one son, Steven and one brother, LaVern Braun.
