ALFRED RONDORF


Alfred Matt Rondorf, 82, formerly of Loyal, Clark county, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 1996, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen.


Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1996, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Father Roman Kaiser officiated. Burial was in St. Anthony's Cemetery.


Pallbearers were Don Becker, James Becker, Richard Rohde, Larry Rondorf, David Esselman and Harvey Degenhardt.


Alfred Matt Rondorf was born on May 24, 1913, in the Town of York, Clark County, to Matt and Katherine (nee Baus) Rondorf. He receved his education at St. Anthony's School, Loyal.


He married Mae Becker on Nov. 16, 1939, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. They farmed in the Town of Eaton for 30 years. He retired to Loyal in 1968. He was a custodian at St. Anthony's Church and School and Loyal Public School. He also drove bus for the public schools. He served on the Clark County Board for 20 years was Town of Eaton Chairman for 20 years was on the board of Directors of Greenwood Milk Products served on the Loyal City Council was president and member of the Holy Name Society at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood.


Survivors include two sons, Ray (Betty) Rondorf, Greenwood and Robert Rondorf, Greenwood one daughter, Shirley (Ken) Verhalen, Waupaca nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


He was preceded in death by his wife, on March 23, 1988 his parents three brothers, Joe, Frank, and Bill and two sisters, Nora and Marie.


Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
