Hatton, Myrtle (1891 - 1983)


Mrs. Myrtle Hatton, 92, formerly of Greenwood, Clark County, who had been residing at Radcliffe, Ky., died at 2:30 a.m., Thursday, July 28, 983, at the home of her son, where she had been living for the past nine years.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hatton were at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 1983, at Grace United Methodist Church, Greenwood. Officiating was Rev. Norbert Miller.

Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery, with John Bjork, Dan Goeltl, Don Hatton, Dennis Hatton, Gene Beyer and Tom Beyer serving as pallbearers. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, handled arrangements.

Myrtle Flagg was born on July 23, 1891. She received her education at Greenwood Area Schools.

In 1915, she and Clark Leroy Hatton were married in the Greenwood area. They farmed in the Town of Eaton until 1946. They lived in the Town of Eaton until her husband's death in 1974. In 1976, she moved to Radcliffe, Ky., and has lived with her son, Frank, ever since.

Surviving her are two sons, Frank of Radcliffe, Ky. And Donald of St. Paul, Minn. one daughter, Mrs. Eva Astlin of Erie, Ill. seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
