Nelson, Enga (1903 - 1983)


Enga Nelson, a former Greenwood, Clark County resident, died on May 19, 1983, at Sioux Falls Hospital.

Enga Minsaas was born on June 30, 1903, in Greenwood, to Mr. and Mrs. John Minsaas. She was married to Palmer Nelson on March 24, 1924 in Sious Falls, and they made their home in Canton, S.D.

Mrs. Nelson was 79 years old.

She is survived by her husband and 12 children 46 grandchildren 28 great-grandchildren two brothers, Paul Minsaas of Greenwood and Julius Minsaas of Longwood two sisters, Mattie Hansen of Neillsville and Laura Adams of Moorehead, Minn. Preceding her in death were four sisters and one brother.

Funeral services were Monday, May 23, 1983, at 10:30 a.m., at Canton Lutheran Church, South Dakota.

Attending the funeral from here were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Minsaas of Greenwood, Jim Minsaas of Withee, Mrs. Victor Diercks of Greenwood, Mrs. Andy Djubenski of Greenwood, robert Henchen of Greenwood and Clarence Henchen, Jr. of Loyal.
