Roth, Estella (1892 - 1983)


Mrs. Estella Roth, 90, Milwaukee, formerly of Loyal, Clark County, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 1983 at Butler. She had lived the past 30 years with her daughter and son-in-law, the C. J. Foster family, in butler.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 22, 1983, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, with Rev. James Logan officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Estella Hemphill was born July 30, 1892 in Milford, Iowa to Tom and Isabelle (McGuire) Hemphill. On Feb. 4, 1914, she married George Roth at Milford, Iowa. He died March 17, 1959. Mrs. Roth was a charter member of Christian Women's Society at St. Anthony's.

She is survived by five sons, George, Colby Donald, Minneapolis Raphael, Whitefish Bay Virgil, Butler and Joseph, Neenah three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Margaret) Foster, Santa Barbara, Cal. Mr. C. J. (Rita) Foster, Butler and Mrs. Robert (Loretta) Heiting, Milwaukee 45 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Six of her grandsons served as pallbearers.
