Pernic, Julia (1908 - 1982)


Mrs. Julia Pernic, 74, died at the Thorp Care Center at 4:30, Dec. 15, 1982.

Funeral services were at 12 noon, Saturday, Dec. 18, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. Rev. James Lesczynski officiated and burial was in the Holy Family Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Stanley Jr., Jim, Frank, Daniel, Mike and Tim Pekol. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, handled arrangements.

Julia Pekol was born on June 21, 1908, at Joliet, Ill. She received her education at a Willard, Clark County school.

She and John Pernic were married on June 2, 1928, at Willard. After their marriage, they farmed in the Globe Area. In 1935, they moved to the Willard area and farmed in the Town of Seif. For the past three years, she has been a resident at the Thorp Care Center.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Surviving her are four sons, Stanley Pernic of Round Lake, Ill., Robert of William Bay, John Jr. of Cannon Falls, Minn. and Edward of South Bend, Ind. one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Loretta) Sprague of Franklin one brother, Edward of Willard two sisters, Mrs. Helen Zulick of Lodi and Mrs. Ivan (Mary) Ruzic, Sr. of Cherokee Village 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, John, on April 15, 1982 her parents, Joe Sr. and Helen (nee Zupancic) Pekol and three brothers.

An 8 p.m. Prayer Service was held on Friday, Dec. 17.
