Senior Master Sergeant Albert Ott, a 1985 Neillsville High School graduate, recently retired from the U. S. Air Force.

A retirement ceremony for Ott was held Feb. 11 at Lackland Training Annex in San Antonio, TX.

Ott began Air Force basic training in 1985 and graduated in December of that year.

Ott’s parents, Wendel and Dorothy Ott of Neillsville, attended the ceremony, along with Ott’s brother, Casey of San Diego, CA.

Ott held a variety of titles while serving in Japan, Korea, Texas and California during his career.

At the retirement ceremony, one of Ott’s two sons, Camron, 15, performed the National Anthem on saxophone.

Ott’s wife, Marionette, cares for military children and their families at a child development center and helps children adjust to life during their parents’ deployments.

The couple’s son, Bryson, a JROTC cadet, gave his oath of enlistment during his father’s retirement ceremony and plans to have a career in the U. S. Air Force.
