Wenzel Kustka, town of Deer Creek, passed away early Saturday morning at the Marshfield Hospital at the age of 68 years.  He had suffered a stroke shortly before he was taken to the hospital.

 

Funeral services were held Monday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville, Rev. Father Seeboth officiating.  Pallbearers were Ernest Wether, Andrew Hartman, Dewey Oehler, Ed Rauscher, Wm. Tessmer and Ben Judas.

 

Deceased was born June 5, 1866, in Tans, Bohemia.  He was married Oct. 29, 1890 to Frances Altmann in Neukirchen, Germany.  Mrs. Kustka preceded him in death March 12, 1931.

 

Surviving are four children: Mrs. Mary Rothmeier, Stetsonville; Mrs. Frank Long, Dorchester; Joseph and Wenzel, both of Stetsonville, and six grandchildren.  Two boys preceded him in death.

Mrs. Wenzel Kustka passed away at her home in the town of Deer Creek, Thursday, March 12, (1931), following a stroke, which she suffered a few days previously.  Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9:30 o’clock at the Catholic Church in Stetsonville and she was laid to rest in the cemetery at the same place.  Father Gleisner officiated.

 

Mrs. Kustka, nee Francis Aldman, was born January 12, 1864, in Germany, and was united in marriage there to Wenzel Kustka Oct. 5, 1890.  The family came to America in June 1913, and settled in Westboro, where they lived until 1919, when they moved onto a farm in the town of Deer Creek.

 

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Rothemeier at home and Mrs. Grace Long of Denver, Colorado (formerly of Dorchester, WI); two sons, Wenzel Jr. at home and Joseph of Stetsonville.  Three sons preceded her in death.  There are also six grandchildren, Mary, Sigfred, Francis and Michael Rothemeier, and Joseph Jr. and Walter Kustka.  One brother and two half-brothers reside in Germany, and a foster brother lives at Kennan.
