Minnie Kuehl

Minnie Kuehl lived 106 years.  When she died July 13, 1973, in Arpin, Wisconsin, she was believed to be Wood County's oldest resident.  In her later years, she made her home at the Bethel Convalescent Home.

She was a native of Germany, having been born in Pomerania Feb. 10, 1887.  She came to the United States with her parents at the age of eight and settled in Juneau, Dodge Co., WI.

After her marriage to Herman Kuehl at Wisconsin Rapids in 1893, they made their living on a small farm on the south side.  Following the death of her husband in 1913, she moved to 1251 McKinley St., Wisconsin Rapids.

Prior to moving to the Bethel Home, she lived with her son, William, for fifteen years in Wisconsin Rapids.

She was a member of the Wisconsin Rapids Moravian Church.
