Lowe, Genevieve (Marriage - 12 NOV 1901)

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Lowe was the scene of a very pretty wedding Tuesday afternoon when their daughter Genevieve was united in marriage to Ernest McIntire. At 2:45 the bride and groom preceded by eight young ladies, entered the parlor to the strains of Mendlessohn's wedding march played by Miss Cassie McMillan. The happy pair proceeded to the prettily decorated bay window, where Rev. G. W. Longenecker spoke the words that made them one. The bride wore a dark blue dress with a cram silk front and carried cream roses and the groom was attired in the regulation black. After the ceremony a dainty lunch was served. The rooms were decorated with roses, carnations and smilax in the most beautiful style. A large number of guests were present, among who were several from out of town and the bride and groom were the recipients of many beautiful and costly presents. The newly wedded pair took the evening train for a brief wedding trip to St. Paul and other points amid a shower of congratulation, rice, old shoes, etc.

Both the contracting parties are well known to our readers, having grown up in our midst (Neillsville, Clark County) and to know them is only to add to the host of warm friends they already possess. Both have those sterling qualities that go to make upright manhood and womanhood and to them go out the best wishes of all for their future happiness and prosperity.
