Scoville, Jessa A. (Marriage - 20 DEC 1899)


Married, Frank J. Burnett and Jessa A. Scoville, at the M.E. parsonage, at 5 o'clock p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1899, Rev. A. B. Scoville, father of the bride, officiating.

The groom is a young man who by his energy and industry has secured the well-merited esteem of everybody in Neillsville, Clark County his is a general favorite among the young people of this city.

The bride, during her short residence here, has establish a large circle of friends in the church and society, and is withal a lovely young lady.

Besides the relatives of the parties, those present were the families of Geo. Beardsley, Chas. Sherrett and Dr. Matheson, Geo. Sontag, Belle Darling, Grace Dickinson and Mrs. Potter.

The decoration consisted of a canopy made of an artistic arch and suspended ribbons, with ferns.

Geo. Sontag acted as best man and Miss Maud Scoville, bridesmaid.

The bride was attired in white mull and the bridesmaid in blue organdie.

We are informed that the young couple will remain in Neillsville for a time, and later remove to Baraboo, where Mr. Burnett has prospects of a position. The Rep. And Press unites with their many friends in congratulations and best wishes.
