Additional information regarding Heinrich Franz Paul Blanc and his older sister W. S. Bertha Blanc. Bertha died at her brother’s home in Dorchester and is buried at the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery with a large headstone next to my great-grandparents, the Ulrichs. It was long speculated that Bertha was related to the Ulrichs, but is completely wrong. Her younger brother Paul Blanc was a Dorchester Justice of the Peace, Town Clerk (conducted the 1895 Wisconsin census for Mayville), and merchant. Paul committed suicide and is buried, probably next to his sister, at the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery, though no headstone seems to have ever been erected for him.
