GLADYS IOLA ANDERSON/ DAVID WM. RUDE MARRIAGE


On Thursday, June 7, 1923, at 8 o'clock p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church at Chicago occurred the marriage of Miss Gladys Iola Anderson to David Wm. Rude, both of Chicago, Rev. Helland officiating. The bridal party consisted of a matron of honor, a maid of honor and two brides maids. The groom had four attendants.


The bride wore a gown of white Canton crepe trimmed in lace. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses, white sweet peas and lilies of the valley.


The bridesmaids wore georgette gowns carrying out the rainbow colors. They carried ophoba roses and orchid sweet peas.
The wedding reception was given in the church parlors immediately following the ceremony. Supper was served to 75 guests. Twelve girl friends of the bride assisted with the serving.


After an extended wedding trip they will be at home to their many friends after July 1st at Chicago, Ill.
The groom is well and favorably known in Greenwood, Clark County, he having been in partnership in farming with his brother George Rude for a couple of years.
