Bizjak Sr., August Joseph #2 (08 AUG 1877 – 29 NOV 1947)

August Bizjak Sr. of Willard was born in Vipava, Italy on August 24, 1877 and passed away at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield on Saturday, November 29, 1947 at 5:30 p.m. after a lingering illness. He had reached the age of 70 years, 3 months and 5 days.

He was married to Anna Schaschl in 1903 and they came to this country in the year of 1904 and lived in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he was engaged as a blacksmith, coming to Willard in the year of 1911 and settled on the present farm.

He is survived by his wife and six children; Mrs. Rose Howard of New York City; August and Joe on the home farm; John of Thorp; Mrs. Albert (Agnes) Wehrman of Loyal; Mrs. Norman (Sophie) Reineking of Greenwood. Two brothers Anton in Italy and Joe in Chicago. Also six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son Karl and a brother Louis.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 3 at 1:30 at the home, Rev. J.C. Klingeberger officiated. He was laid to rest in the Greenwood cemetery.

The pallbearers were John Kaltinger Jr., Emil Malnar, Frank Auman Jr., Matt Malnar, John Jelersic and Martin Kern.
