After several years there, they moved to Wisconsin and for many years have lived on the home farm in Oak Ridge south of town. His health has not been good for quite a long time. There are four sisters: Joanna Arnold, Los Angeles, Ca..; Mary Carl and Emma Dodge, Sioux Falls, S. D.; Nellie Garman, Neillsville; and one brother, George of Alma Center. There are 11 grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Undertaker Jensen had charge of arrangements and funeral services were held in the undertaking rooms in Hixton at 1 o’clock on Saturday, May 12, followed by church service in the Methodist Church, Alma Center, Rev. Sachtjen officiating. Mrs. Theo Joos and Coral Stranney sang “Under His Wings” and “Have Thine Own Way.” Flowers were beautiful, there were many of them and were carried by Mrs. Will Galster and Mrs. Ed Bock. Old Friends were pallbearers: Will Galster, Albert Porath, Frank Walters, Frank Oliver, Orvis Burnett, and Louie Wagner. Interment was made in East lawn Cemetery, (Alma Center).

Among those from out of town in attendance were Dr. and Mrs. Garman, Neillsville; Mrs. Willis Arnold, Marshfield; George Shankey; Mr. and Mrs. Harry T. Smith, Sechlerville.

There was a family dinner at noon Saturday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Blencoe, Sechlerville, and after the services, 45 relatives had supper with Mrs. Alfred Blencoe and family in her home.

Some of the lovely flowers were given by her for use in the church for Mother’s Day service Sunday.
