Jicinsky, Ambrose G. (11 SEP 1919 - 06 DEC 2012)

Ambrose G. Jicinsky, 93, Unity, died peacefully on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at House of the Dove Hospice Home, Marshfield.

Ambrose was born September 11, 1919, on Sugar Island, Sault Ste. Marie, MI. He moved to Stratford and attended Wescott School in the town of Eau Pleine. He married Rita (Hein) on February 21, 1944, at St. Mary’s in Colby.

Ambrose armed many years while working ot at various jobs. He loved Canadian fishing trips, bowling at Little Rose, watching the birds, crossword puzzles, Scrabble, checkers and wood working.

He is survived by his wife; eleven children, Bette Kramer, Stratford; Gene Jicinsky, Las Vegas, NV; Gary (Judee) Jicinsky, Marshfield, Steve (Betty) Jicinsky, Baraboo; Rose Jicinsky, Akron, OH; Alan (Paulette) Jicinsky, Stratford; Jeffrey Jicinsky, Middleton; Phyllis Jicinisky, Blue Mound; Judy (Dave) Williams, Swisher, IA; Barbie (Rich) Mueller, Marshfield; and Wayne (Mary) Jicinsky, Colby; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

Ambrose was preceded in death by his mother Mary (Roy), father Adolph, and a grandson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Stratford. Rev. John Robert Alphonse will preside and music will be provided by St. Joseph’s Resurrection Choir.

Burial will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in the Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County and his six sons will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Stratford.

Memorials may be designated in his name to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and School or to the House of the Dove.
