Schecklman, Irene (12 May,1924-06 Nov 2012)

Irene C. Schecklman, 88, Chili, went peacefully in the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, surrounded by her loving family under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice Services. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 10, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield. Rev. Eric Berns officiated. Burial followed in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Chili. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Ronald Hetzel, Jarrett Knutson, Joshua Schueller, Tyler Wolf, Jeremy Schecklman, Jordan Schecklman and Logan Schecklman. Honorary pallbearers were hger grandsons, Adam Ajoub and Jacob Ajoub.

Irene Gaulke was born on May 12, 1924, at home in the township of Fremont, Clark County to Otto and Clara (nee Franke( Gaulke. She received her education at Pine Crrcle School. She married George Schecklman on Nov. 29, 1947, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bakeville. He preceded her in death, Jan. 16, 2001. Irene cherished time spent with her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and anything to do with country music, including trips to Nashville and Branson, and more recently enjoyed time spent playing Mexican Train and shaking dice. She was a homemaker and also worked as office mamager at Chili Implement until she retired.

Irene is lovingly survived by her children, Sandra( Raymond Roehl) Smith, Chili, Annette (Michael) Knutson, Marshfield, Jacalyn Schueller, Marshfield, Debra (Joe) Wolf, Medford, Bradely (Sara) Shecklman, Chili, and Shelly (nassan) Ajoub, Henderson, Nev; her grandchildren, Ronald (Pattie) Hetzel, Dean Hetzel, Jennifer (Chris) Dehn, Kendra (Moises) Ferreyra, Jarrett (Kylie) Knutson, Danielle (Curt) Vogel, Michelle (friend Roger) Knutson, Shawna (Ashok) Dhariwal, Stacy (Ed) Hoche, Joshua Schueller, Amanda Schueller, Tyler Wolf, Tenille (Wade) Matyka, Jeremy, Jordan and Logan Schecklman, and Adam and Jacob Ajoub; her great-grandchildren, Sydnie, Kimmie and Tatlanna Hetzel, Daniel and Natasha Hetzel, Andy and Kelly Andrews, Miranda, Mariah and Jacob Dehn, Graciela Ferreyra, Aiden and Ashlyn Vogel, Sienna, Arianna and Xavier Dhariwal, and Hannah and Lauren Hoche; one sister, Esther Uschold, Menomonie Falls; and a special godson, Jerry Roehl.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Clara; her husband, George; three brothers, Clarence (Frances) Gaulke, Edwin (Doris) Gaulke, and Warren (Vernetta) Gaulke; two sisters Lorraine (Frank Reder, Joe Haas) Haas and Verna Roehl; and a son-in-law, Larry Schueller.

The family extends a special thank you to Rev. Samuel Martin; Julie at Ministry Home Care and Krissy, Caria, Jeff, Lori, Joe, Sue, Dave, Sister Fran and Dr. Claessens of Ministry Home Care Hospice Services. Also, a special thank you for the loving care provided by grand daughters, Kendra and Pattie.
