Brodhagen, Bonnie (20 APR 1963)

On Saturday, April 20, 1963, Miss Bonnie Brodhagen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brodhagen, and Robert Stacke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Stacke, all of Abbotsford, took place at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, with the Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiating.

During the 2 o'clock ceremony, vows were exchanged in a double ring ceremony and Miss Warner of Bruce sang "Wedding Prayer" and "The Lord's Prayer." Miss Diana Schultz was organist.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of silk peau de soie designed with a Sabrina neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. Re-embroidered Alencon lace trimmed the bodice and the front of the full skirt, which extended to a chapel train. A headpiece of silk organza petals outlined with pearls and crystals held her fingertip nylon tulle veil with a hand rolled edge. She carried a bouquet of a white orchid and stephanotis.

The bridal aides included her sister, Miss Mary Brodhagen, as maid of honor, the groom's sister, Miss Dawn Stacke, as bridesmaid, and the bride's nieces, the Misses Debra Rae Dorst and Vanessa Ann Dorst of Pomona, Calif., as flower girls.

Gary Nienow of Edgar was best man. Lester Kruger of Curtiss was the groomsman, and Patrick Brant of West Allis, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.

Ushers were Dennis Kademan of Colby and Leslie Revie of Milwaukee.

The bride's attendants were attired alike in aqua nylon slim sheath dresses with short sleeves trimmed with Alencon lace, and wore with them drop pearl necklaces. Their crown headpieces of matching color with short veils of matching borealis trim, matching shoes and cascade bouquets, completed their ensembles.

The flower girls wore white lace and nylon dresses, velvet bow headbands and white accessories. They carried white lace baskets of daisies.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the village hall and dinner for 220 guests was served at the church hall. In the evening, a dance was held at the Sportsman's Park.

Mr. and Mrs. Stacke are at home at 411 1/2 Fourth Street, Abbotsford. The bride is employed by her father at the Surplus Bakery and the groom is employed at Colby Locker Service. A summer wedding trip is planed.

Guests attending the wedding were from Pomona, Calif., Dale, Marshfield, Unity, Junction City, Manitowoc, Colby, Edgar, Dorchester, Bruce, West Allis, Owen, Curtiss and Abbotsford.
