Kauffman, Millie (26 OCT 1889 - 27 FEB 1963)

Funeral services for Mrs. Don Kauffman, 72, Abbotsford, who died at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 1963, were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford. Mrs. Kauffman was a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, for about two weeks, during which time she underwent major surjery.

The Rev. Douglas P. Oyan, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church at Marshfield, conducted services during which Miss Dorothy Kiester and Mrs. Weldon Brown, Jr. sang "Rock of Ages" and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul."

Pallbearers for the interment that followed in the Abbotsford Cemetery were John Fecker, Art Leichtnam, Frank Revie, Art Scheibe, Henry Spence and Fred Wilhelmi.

Mrs. Kauffman was born Millie Billing sin Chicago on Oct. 26, 1889, and was married to William Forest, who died in 1933. Her second marriage took place March 25, 1941, to Donald Kauffman of Abbotsford, at Medford, and they made their home at Abbotsford.

Mrs. Kauffman was a member of the Frist Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband, one brother, Walter Billings of Elmhurst, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. Edward (Effie) Donahue of Quincy, Ill.

One brother preceded her in death.

Among those attending the funeral were Walter billings and Edward Donahue Jr. of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Donahue of Quincy, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kauffman and Mr. and Mrs. George Gurney of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Kauffman of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Weeden, Mrs. Elsie Eaton and Mrs. Christine Neef of Richland Center, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kauffman and Mr. and Mrs. James Brunkhorst of Unity, and other relatives and friends from this vicinity.
