Miller, Jeanne M. (23 FEB 1963)

Miss Jeanne Marie Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Miller, RR 3, Stanley, became the bride of Donald Ryniec, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ryniec, RR1, Thorp, on Saturday, Feb. 23, 1963 at Church of the Brethren, Stanley. Rev. Detrick performed the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a beautiful brocade gown featuring a Queen Victoria bodice embroidered with seed pearls and bugle beads. A flowing princess panel to the floor and full carriage skirt flowing into a chapel train were other highlighting features. A pearl trimmed petal cap held her imported silk illusion veil. She also wore pearl earrings, a gift of the groom, and carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

Miss Sherry Miller was her sister’s maid of honor, and her cousin, Barbara Shilts, was her bridesmaid. They both wore taffeta street length dresses featuring short sleeves and bell shaped skirts. A sash flowing from the scoop neckline tied in back. Blush veils fell from matching red taffeta scalloped crowns. Other accessories were elbow length gloves and pearl pendant necklaces, which were gifts of the bride. They carried bouquets of red and white carnations.

Dave Ryniec was his brother’s best man, and Larry Gerritts, a friend of the groom, was groomsman. They all wore black tuxedos and cufflinks, a gift of the groom.

A reception for 100 guests was held at the Thorp Finance Hall.

The bride’s mother wore a two toned brown dress with beige accessories and a corsage of red roses and white carnations. The groom’s mother wore a cocoa brown dress with black accessories, and also had a corsage of red roses and white carnations.

Guests present for the wedding were from Stanley, Chippewa Falls, Boyd, Thorp, Owen, Eau Claire, Dorchester, Auburndale, Owen and Chicago.
