Kasper, Lyle (15 FEB 1953-17 JULY 2012)

Lyle L. Kaster, 53, Oshkosh, passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside at House of the Dove, Marshfield, on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity. Rev. Al Houts officiated. Following the services and luncheon, a butterfly release in Lyle’s memory took place at the Highground Memorial Park, Neilsville.

Lyle L. Kasper was born on Feb. 15, 1959, in Milwaukee, the son of Kenneth and Joanne (nee Scheer) Kasper. Shortly after, the family relocated to rural Unity. He attended Loyal Public Schools and graduated from Loyal High School, and then attended one year of college. He married Dori Hardrath. They later divorced. His second marriage was to Kay Molinski. They later divorced. Lyle resided in Oshkosh for nearly 25 years, employed as a property mamager for an outreach ministry associated with Zion Lutheran Church in Oshkosh, where Lyle was a faithful member. During that same time, he served multiple churches as a lay minister with steadfast faith and perseverance. For those who knew him, Lyle’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. When his illness became overwhelming, he resided with his parents in Unity and they along with his sisters and daughter continued to care for him and they were all with him when he returned to his Lord. His hobbies included camping, being outdoors, fishing and hunting. Some of his greatest loves were motorcycling with friends, and playing volleyball for more than 20 years. He had a special interest in firearms.

Survivors include his three children, Spring Ann (Joe) Villasenor, Anaheim, Calif., Lucas (Natsue) Kasper, Murrieta, Calif., and Kirstin Kasper, Oshkosh; five grandchildren; his parents, Kenneth and Joanne Kasper, Unity; two sisters, Cindy Hardrath, Unity, and Luanne (William) Gosse, Unity;and many other relatives and special friends.

In lieu of flowers, Lyle wished memorials to be given to the Highground Veterans Memorial Park in Neillsville.
